Faces in the Trees
Faces in the Trees
By Aunty Susan
Walking through the woods today
I notice trees and stop to play
They whisper wise words in my ear
And tell me there’s no need to fear
They feel to me so cool and strong
They stay there standing all year long
They tell me fairies live in their branches
With birds and bugs they have magic dances
In moss and ferns their babies grow
‘What’s that Mum, its time to go?’
As I stand back up from tying my laces,
I smile as I see even trees have faces!
