A Deep Soul Connection with Donkeys
Adele, thank you for the lovely picture of a donkey that you sent in. It is obvious that you have a deep soul connection with donkeys in general or at least this one, in particular. The white lines in the background strike me as some kind of soul scroll and not meaningless squiggly-wiggles.
Your picture emits a sense of serenity with the greens, blues and browns merging beautifully. Perhaps it reflects your own desire for harmony. The wise eyes, soft but alert-looking ears and gentle demeanor of the donkey make me feel that we humans have grossly misunderstood the nature of this animal and ‘used’ the creature shabbily, reducing it to a beast of burden. Seeing the donkey as representative of your inner self, I am wondering if you feel misunderstood by virtue of your innate mildness or is it that you are scared to reveal this beautiful, gentle side of yourself ? Also, you are perhaps a good listener who prefers to talk less.
Though the donkey stands in an open space, the fence restricts her freedom and, as it were, confines her movements. The fence however, seems to have some ‘devas’ in it. Do you see boundaries as both necessary (indicated by the presence of the ‘devas’) and confining? The strong tree next to the donkey grants the animal shade and protection. Does the tree represent a strong and dependable ally whom you can bank on for support at all times?
Your earthy, stable and silent friend perhaps has a name. If she does not, you could think of one.
Stay blessed, stay happy.
